In honor of their affinity for hacking, building, crafting, and moving great ideas into action, three years ago we launched the TEDActive Projects. While Projects can take on many forms, they always address a topic or question that’s important to the TED community. These aim to inspire attendees to build, collaborate, and experience ideas in a hands-on, entirely interactive way.
Projects start with you. We look closely at who’s coming to TEDActive, what you’re talking about, and what you’re passionate about. From there, we match Projects up with TED Partners interested in exploring the same questions and ideas, and craft a unique experience onsite and online that helps the TED community connect, tinker, build, and play. The Projects have changed a lot each year; we’ve brainstormed, prototyped, and pulled all nighters in the name of hackathons. We’ve had ten-person projects and 600-person projects, with participants in Palm Springs and all over the world.
We’re revamping Projects for 2013 and can’t wait to share the ways we’ll tap into the expertise, unearth new ideas, and come together to build something thoroughly TEDActive.
