Reflections on Day 5 of TEDActive

Amanda Palmer, musician and advocate for a new model of supporting artists, performed her beautiful piece “The Bed Song.”
Journalist Joshua Prager told the tale of his search for the reckless driver who destroyed his body and altered his life, reflecting on the limitations that humans face in our awareness of our very selves.
Jared Diamond, author The World Before Yesterday, took a look at the role of the aging — in our massive, modern society as well as more tribal, traditional ones — and asked how we can make the most out of this growing segment of the population.
In an extraordinary finale for TED2013, Eric Whitacre stages a type of performance that has never been seen before, with a choir assembled to sing his composition, “Cloudburst.”
